  • Raise awareness about CITES's role in regulating trade in high-value timber/trees;
  • Inform governments and stakeholders on the challenges, especially for Africa in balancing conservation and sustainable use objectives;
  • Demonstrate how sustainable forest management contributes to climate change mitigation and enhanced livelihoods, linking biodiversity and climate change through multilateral actions.
